Is AnyList free?
AnyList has a free tier for lists and recipes, with 5 recipe imports from the web. Meal planning, scaling, the web app and item prices need AnyList Complete, at $9.99 a year for one person or $14.99 a year for a household.
Does AnyList have AI meal planning?
We couldn't find any in AnyList's help pages. Its meal planner has an Ideas tab with suggestions from your own recipes. Hedgehog Chef's AI planner proposes a week of meals and a shopping list from a request like “high-protein dinners under $120”, and nothing changes until you approve it.
Is Hedgehog Chef cheaper than AnyList?
It depends on what you use. Hedgehog Chef's Free plan includes the meal planner, scaling and the web app, which need AnyList Complete. For a bigger household that wants everything, AnyList Complete ($14.99 a year) costs less than Hedgehog Chef Plus ($5.99/month or $49.99/year, on sale soon).
Can I move my recipes from AnyList?
There's no AnyList importer, and we couldn't find a bulk export in AnyList's help pages. Most saved recipes came from a website, so paste those links into Hedgehog Chef; for your own recipes, paste the text. Your AnyList account isn't touched.
Is Hedgehog Chef free?
Yes. The Free plan has unlimited recipes, binders, meal plans, shopping lists and the pantry for up to 2 people, with daily allowances for the AI features, and no ads. Hedgehog Chef Plus ($5.99/month or $49.99/year, on sale soon) raises the AI allowances, adds live grocery prices and fits up to 8 people.
