Personal API tokens

A personal API token lets a Shortcut, the bookmarklet or your own script read and save recipes in your kitchen. Make one per device or tool, and revoke it any time.

Steps

  1. Open Settings › API & shortcuts and find Personal API tokens.
  2. Tap New token, give it a name you'll recognize, and turn on Read only if it only needs to read.
  3. Copy the token now: it's shown only once. Then tap I've copied it.
  4. To revoke one, tap the trash icon next to it and confirm Revoke.

Keeping tokens safe

A token acts as you in your kitchen, so treat it like a password. You can have up to 25. Changing your password turns all of them off, and the kitchen's owner can revoke anyone's. The same page has the Shortcuts, the bookmarklet and API examples.
