Save recipes from anywhere

Set up a quicker way to save from wherever you find recipes: a Shortcut on iPhone, the share sheet on Android, a bookmarklet on a computer, or Claude.

Steps

  1. Open Settings › API & shortcuts.
  2. Pick the way that suits your device, below, and follow the steps on that page.
  3. Try it on a recipe page. Recipes saved this way are saved straight away, without a review step.

On the web, iPhone and Android

On the web

Drag Save to Hedgehog to your bookmarks bar. It sends the page you're looking at, so it works on sites that turn importers away.

iPhone and iPad

Shortcuts for iPhone, iPad and Mac has written steps to build a “Save to Hedgehog” Shortcut for Safari's share sheet, using a personal API token.

Android

Install Hedgehog from Chrome (see Install the app), and it appears in Android's share sheet: share a link or a recipe's text to it.

With Claude

If you use Claude, connect Hedgehog Chef and say “save this recipe” with a link, text or a photo. See Connect Claude.
