Bring your recipes from Paprika or another app

Export from your old app, drop the file into Import › Other apps, see what's in it, and import. Photos, notes and categories come along.

Steps

  1. In your old app, export your recipes (in Paprika: Export, as a .paprikarecipes file). How to export from each app is listed on the tab.
  2. Open Recipes › Import, choose Other apps, and drop the file or tap Choose file.
  3. Look through what's in the file. Recipes you already have are skipped.
  4. Choose whether to file them in a binder, turn categories into tags or binders, and import photos.
  5. Tap Import. Keep the page open until it's done.

Apps and files that work

Paprika (.paprikarecipes), Mela, Crouton, Recipe Keeper, Copy Me That, MasterCook, Plan to Eat, Mealie, Tandoor, RecipeSage, Cooklang, a spreadsheet (.csv, you match the columns) and schema.org recipe files. The file is read in your browser, and nothing is imported until you've seen what's in it.
