Import from Instagram, TikTok or YouTube

Paste the post's link. The recipe written in the caption or description is read, or the recipe page it links to. What's only spoken in a video can't be read.

On the web, iPhone and Android

iPhone and iPad

Copy the link from Instagram, TikTok or YouTube with Share › Copy link, then paste it into Import.

Android

Share the post straight to Hedgehog from the app's share menu once Hedgehog is installed.

What's read from each

  • YouTube: the recipe in the video's description, or a recipe page it links to. Paste the link, or the description itself when only the title can be read. Captions and speech are never read.
  • TikTok and Instagram: the caption. If Instagram blocks reading a post, open it, copy the caption and paste it on the Text tab.
  • Pinterest: the page the pin links to, or a recipe written in its description.

If there's no written recipe, you'll get a plain note saying so; type it in on the Text tab instead.
