How the free trial works
Every new kitchen starts with a 14-day free trial with everything included, for up to 2 people. No card is needed, and nothing is charged when it ends.

Your trial, start to finish
- The trial starts when you create your first kitchen. It lasts 14 days and needs no card.
- While it runs, your kitchen has Family's allowances, so you and one more person can try it together.
- A banner under the header shows how many days are left. The kitchen's owner sees a Subscribe link in it.
- The owner gets an email 3 days and 1 day before the trial ends, and one when it has ended.
- To keep going, the owner chooses a plan in Settings › Plan & billing. The days you have left carry over: the first charge is on the day the trial would have ended (or 2 days after you subscribe, if that's later).
- If nobody subscribes, nothing is charged. The kitchen pauses, and everything in it stays.
One trial per person
The trial belongs to you, not the kitchen. If you create a second kitchen, it gets what's left of your trial, not a new one. If you join someone else's kitchen, you use that kitchen's trial or subscription.
